Essay by Richard Foreman, poem by Hildegarde of Bingen, and quote by Michelle Stuart. A collection of Stuart’s works inspired by nature that were on show at Bellas Arts in Santa Fe. From Richard Foreman’s essay: “Ponder a proliferating series of panels upon which real seeds, each isolated in his/her own square space, seem to ‘bleed’ against their paper ground–leaving a blur, or smear, or stain against which the sed itself seems to have lost its life blood.”
