Notes: Near Fine, 4to, 9 1/2" x 9 3/4." Bilingual text in Japanese and English. Black paper wrappers with gilt lettering on front and white lettering on spine. Covers have light to moderate rubbing and minuscule wear to extremities. Pages pristine and intact. Replete with illustrations of Ohi-ware. Unpaginated, c. 62 pp., including illustrations. Published on the occasion of an exhibition of the same name that showed at Osaka Takashimaya and JR Nagoya Takashimaya. The show featured the ohi ceramics of Toshio Ohi (b. 1958), the first-born son of Chozaemon Ohi X, a master of Ohi-ware. Ohi is a type of Japanese ceramic that was made specially for the Japanese tea ceremony. Ohi is prized for its form and glossy texture. Heavy and oversized items may require additional shipping.
