[1] 24 pp., replete with full-color images of the artwork, black-and-white photographs of the artists outside painting, and includes an essay by John Fitz Gibbon. Published in conjunction with the exhibition of the Open Air Paintings by artists Tony King, Wilder Bentley, William Morehouse, William Wheeler, and John B. Stuppin at J. Noblett Gallery in Boyes Hot Springs, California in April 1991, then at Dominican College of San Rafael in San Rafael, California in October 1991. From the essay: "Stuppin, Wheeler, King, Morehouse were said to be out painting the Sonoma country. With Bentley along sometimes, sort of a fifth wheel. The paintings were done out of doors and they were going to be shown out of doors." Acquired from the private library of photorealist, Robert Bechtle and art historian, Whitney Chadwick.
