Text in English, introduction by Marvin Sadik. Known for his bold depictions of urban life, including his more popular paintings devoted to boxing, George Bellow was an American realist painter. This catalogue was published to accompany the George Bellow exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery November 4, 1981 through January 3, 1982, curated by Beverly Jones.
