Marcel Janco (1895-1984) was a Romanian and Israeli avant-garde artist, architect, and intellectual who co-founded the movements of Dadaism and Constructivism. He was a founder of the Ein Hod utopian artist colony, and a target of anti-Semetic activity during World War II. Many of the works in this volume are reflections of his war-time experience and activism.
