Notes: Near Fine, SIGNED, 8vo, 11" x 8 1/2." Black paper wrappers with staple binding. White lettering on front. No letter to spine. Covers have a few wrinkles, fingerprints, and slight wear to edges and tips, else clean and intact, binding tight. Pages have light age toning, else pristine and intact. Black-and-white illustrations included. SIGNED by S. Clay Wilson in gold and silver ink on front cover: "S. Clay Wilson, To Eric, 1983." Signatures in gold ink. Rest of inscription in silver ink. 15 pp., including illustrations. Published on the occasion of an exhibition at the Museum of the Surreal and Fantastique in New York. The featured artist of the show was S. Clay Wilson (1941-2021), an American underground cartoonist and leading figure of the Underground Comix movement. He is perhaps best-known for his grotesque panoramic cartoons and drawings of sordid characters and bodily organs. This catalog includes brief essays about Wilson, a short autobiography, and illustrations of some of his drawings. Heavy and oversized items may require additional shipping.
