Photocopied printout in French from Bibliotheca Wittockiana about this book laid in. Back colophon: "Exemplaire 50; Ce catalogue, compose en Garamond, a ete acheve d'imprimer le 13 mai 1987 par l'atelier Merat, a Paris. Il en a ete tire 600 exemplaires, dont 100 hors commerce." 225 pp., including black-and-white illustrations. Beautiful presentation copy signed and inscribed by Lucien Scheler to Rita. Inscription written in black pen on first page. Lucien Scheler (1902-1999) was a French author, poet, publisher, and bookseller specializing in antique books. He was a member of the French Resistance against Nazism during World War II. He helped protect other Resistance members by concealing them in hideaways and forging documents in his bookstore. A comprehensive catalog that accompanied an exhibition at Bibliotheca Wittockiana, a public museum and library, in Brussels from May to June 1987. The show featured the personal book collection of Scheler. The exhibition reflected Bibliotheca Wittockiana's specialization in books and bookbindings.
