Fine red cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on front and spine. Fine white paper dust jacket with black lettering to spine. Dust jacket has light age toning, else pristine and intact, protected in a paper-backed Mylar sleeve. Black ink stamp from Crocker Art Museum Research Library on title page, else pages pristine and intact. Replete with illustrations in black-and-white and full-color. Beautiful auction catalogue published on the occasion of an auction that took place on June 25 and 26, 1979 at Sporting d'Hiver, Monte Carlo. The auction featured French furniture, decor, and other art objects from the collection of Monsieur Akram Ojjeh. Much of the auction's listings are for French furniture dating to the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, some of which are associated with King Louis XVI.
