First British Edition. Very Good gray cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to spine. Covers have slight wear, pages have light age toning, slight darkening limited to top edge of text block, and a former owner's inscription in black pen on front free endpaper, else clean and intact. Very Good white paper dust jacket with metallic silver and dark brown lettering to spine. Metallic silver decorative background accents on panels, flaps, and spine of dust jacket. Dust jacket has bumped edges and tips, a few small wrinkles to flaps, light age toning, and a small closed tear measuring 3/4" at top of front panel, else clean and intact, not price-clipped, protected in a paper-backed Mylar sleeve. The first novel by American author Tom Robbins (b. 1932), introduced readers to his unique experimental comedy.
