Striking monograph featuring the color photographs of Harry Callahan (1912-1999), an American photographer and instructor, he taught at both the Institute of Design in Chicago and the Rhode Island School of Design, and New Bauhaus. Callahan was a contemporary of László Moholy-Nagy, deeply influenced by the Bauhaus aesthetic. Working with cityscapes, models, candid figures and nature, his work combines formalism and experimentation. A stunning volume with Callahan's mastery evident on every page.
