Fine quarto quarter-bound in black morocco with burgundy cloth boards, embossed  portrait of Blake to front panel, 340 pp. Edited by Aileen Ward; designed by John Dreyfus. Twelve tipped in plates of illustrations engraved and colored by Blake from the original editions. Glassine present with some sunning, closed tear, and small chips along spine, monthly newsletter laid in. Housed in a Very Good black paper slipcase, shelfwear, bumped corner, some peeling to gold label, still sturdy and attractive. Includes Early Works, Songs of Experience, Early Prophetic Works, et.al. A carefully selected and designed edition worthy of Blake's masterful poetry and imagery.

The Limited Editions Club was founded by publisher George Macy in 1929 with goal of delivering a monthly fine press edition of great works in literature, religion, history, philosophy, and poetry. The press worked with some of the best printers in the US and Europe, and sought the best artists to illustrate runs of 1500 or 2000 copies.
