Charming souvenir and guidebook that takes readers on a tour of Sutro Heights in San Francisco. Descriptions accompanied by printed half-tone photographs and printed hand-drawn maps of the park. Within Sutro Heights was the residence of Adolph Sutro (1830-1898), a German-American engineer and philanthropist and the 24th mayor of San Francisco. Sutro's sprawling estate included fountains, gardens, hedge mazes, and a plant conservatory. Sutro also built one of the versions of the famous Cliff House in Sutro Heights and the Sutro Baths just west of Sutro Heights. Sutro Heights is now known as Sutro Heights Park where one can explore the ruins of the Sutro Baths and see the current Cliff House. Heavy and oversized items may require additional shipping.
