Published on the occasion of an exhibition featuring the paintings of Wu Yiming (b. 1966), a Chinese ink-wash painter. Many of Wu's paintings depict subjects from nature but he also makes portraits. In his introduction, Zhu Qi notes how Wu is fundamentally an ink-wash painter who has has been influenced by both Western art movements such Realism, abstraction, Expressionism, and Conceptual Art and traditional Chinese ink paintings. In the back is an interview between Jia Bu and Wu Yiming. Zhu's introduction translated by Kaimei Olsson Wang. Jia's interview translated by Wu Chenyun.
