Color illustration of one of the artist's paintings of water lilies on front. Covers have slight age toning and slight bumping to tips and head and tail of spine, else clean and intact, binding tight. Pages pristine and intact. Replete with color illustrations. Unnpaginated. Published on the occasion of an exhibition featuring the paintings of Wu Yiming (b. 1966), a Chinese ink-wash painter. Many of Wu's paintings depict subjects from nature but he also makes portraits. In his introduction, Zhu Qi notes how Wu is fundamentally an ink-wash painter who has has been influenced by both Western art movements such Realism, abstraction, Expressionism, and Conceptual Art and traditional Chinese ink paintings. In the back is an interview between Jia Bu and Wu Yiming. Zhu's introduction translated by Kaimei Olsson Wang. Jia's interview translated by Wu Chenyun.
